Cassie Perez Gardner
Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) · CADCDo you feel stuck between who you were and who you're becoming?
I work with adults navigating significant life transitions — such as divorce, grief, recovery, or a shift in identity. On the outside, you might be functioning well, yet internally feel overwhelmed or unsure of who you are becoming. You may be grieving a version of yourself, questioning long-held beliefs or roles, or feeling disconnected from your sense of direction. What you want is not just to cope, but to understand yourself more deeply, feel grounded again, and move forward in a way that feels authentic and aligned.
You don't have to have it all figured out before reaching out. Wherever you're starting from, there's a path forward, and I'd be honored to walk it with you.
How I Work
Some therapists take a "blank slate" approach, keeping their presence very neutral so the focus is entirely on you. My approach is relational. I show up authentically as myself. I bring warmth, humor, and steadiness to our work together. Therapy with me is a conversation, not a script, where we explore your experiences while you feel seen, understood, and supported.
At the core of my work is a deep belief in human dignity. Every person deserves respect, autonomy, and the freedom to explore who they are without fear of judgment. I am committed to creating a space that affirms the inherent worth of all people, honors diverse identities and lived experiences, and upholds the basic human rights that allow us to live safely and authentically.
A Typical Session
Sessions with me usually begin with a brief check-in: how you've been feeling, what's been coming up, and what feels most important that day. If we're in the middle of something we've been working on, we may continue that thread. Otherwise, we'll decide together what would feel most helpful to explore.
You're welcome to show up exactly as you are. Grab a cup of coffee, settle into your favorite chair, bring a blanket, a pet, or something that helps you feel grounded. All sessions are offered via secure telehealth, so you can join from the comfort of your own space. Depending on your needs, we may also gently incorporate EMDR or somatic techniques to help process experiences and support your mind and body in feeling more grounded.
The goal is the same every session: to create a grounded, compassionate space where you can exhale and be fully yourself.
Training & Credentials
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a Master of Social Work degree, trained in EMDR, and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). I approach substance use through a trauma-informed, relational lens — understanding that addiction is often deeply intertwined with pain, identity, and unmet needs.
If anything here resonates, I'd love to connect. A free consultation is a low-pressure way to see if we might be a good fit.
